team building
Corporate team building has come a long way since the days of muddy fields, ropes and planks of wood. There is a huge variety of activities that you can take part in as long as it has been designed to be fun, safe and inclusive – after all the last thing you want is for people to be on your event and wishing they were back in the office! Teambuilding is about increasing motivation, improving communication and building trust with each other whilst committing to and reaching a common goal. Absolute Corporate Events provide a wide range of fun or strategic activities designed to increase the performance of your team.
Just a taste of what we can offer :
Team Challenge Multi Activity Event
Our Team Challenge is a competitive, flexible and fun multi-activity event!
Team Challenge is the name for our team building event that is designed specifically for your team by using a number of competitive and fun activities that work well together and suit your team. Your event is created to suit your timings, your budget and your objectives.
You can decide which level of competition most suits your teams. Some teams are fiercely competitive; others work better towards a common goal. The excitement you will be experiencing can be harnessed to work best for your particular team. Getting the level of competition right on your team building event is Bluehat’s skill and will make the difference on your event.
If you are looking for an adrenalin rush, or a leisurely laugh with colleagues, or a combination of the two, the way the teams are organised to participate on the activities will determine the success of your event.
You can use the event as a unique thank you to your customers!
Because your customers are experiencing something new and different on a Multi Activity Event the bond that your team makes with your customers is more powerful. Because they are participating and learning something new they are more likely to remember the event and think of it as time well spent.
Chequered Flag
Chequered Flag is a corporate team building event that creates a fantastic buzz in your teams as they design, build and race their own kart.
This Formula 1 type team building activity is unique because you’re given a solid chassis to build onto and it’s safe because it’s pedal powered not motorised. Because there are so many different roles to play in this team building activity everyone gets involved. Roles are similar to the real Grand Prix – sponsorship, design, race tactics, mechanics and of course drivers. It’s a real team effort and everyone needs to take part for your team to be successful.
Da Vinci Code
The Da Vinci Code corporate team building event captures your imagination in a thrilling quest to crack the curator’s code.
The Da Vinci Code is a unique team building activity because the historical artefacts are unique to this event. These works of art have been ingeniously designed and created by Bluehat’s team of professional artists and sculptors. Each one holds secrets and clues that relate to the mystery facing your teams.
The murder trail follows a plot similar to Dan Brown’s best selling novel (with all references to religion and religious sects removed). It’s not necessary to have read the book or seen the film because this team building activity is an experience in itself.
Italian Job
The aim in the Italian Job team building event is for your team to retrieve as much “gold bullion” as possible just like in the Italian Job film.
Your team will drive minis round the countryside yourselves on an action-packed treasure hunt. Minis are fully branded with your company or product logo and your team ‘Mini Adventure’ lasts from a minimum 2 hours right up to a full day.
The Italian Job team building event is a fantastic reward for a high performing team because of the WOW factor. It also provides a great platform for you to explore team performance if you wish. The variety of challenges to retrieve "gold bullion" gives everyone a chance to shine whether they’re normally assertive or not and the ability of each team to plan their route successfully and share a common vision will affect how much gold they are able to retrieve.
The Apprentice
The Apprentice team building activity engages your team with a dynamic, competitive and fun challenge.
The Apprentice team building event is tailored to your specific group of people and the location that you choose. A professional presenter sets the scene by marching into your office or conference room to deliver your instructions in the style of Sir Alan Sugar.
In a similar way to the popular TV program, The Apprentice, each team is given a dossier which contains the details of their challenge and the penalties for teams who do not follow "Sir Alan's" instructions. Unlike the TV program, The Apprentice team building event is great fun as well as being competitive.
If you know the TV program you'll remember the 2 observers, Nick and Margaret, who are Sir Alan's aides. We provide observers (we call them learning and development facilitators) who observe your teams in action and provide insights and feedback which can be used to highlight learning and development opportunities for your team.
This is useful for teams which are both newly formed and teams that are well established because a team building event like The Apprentice brings out some interesting and creative planning, negotiation and management skills that you may not have seen before!!!
Twelve Tasks of Hercules
The Twelve Tasks of Hercules corporate team building activity challenges your team to conquer Poseidon, Athena, Apollo and Zeus and relight the flame of unity.
This team building activity requires your team to work together to undertake the 12 tasks completed by Hercules. Each task has been specially designed by a different God and will challenge your team in different ways in different activities.
Challenges will range from practical, hands-on design and building tasks to creative, visual and problem-solving activities giving everyone the opportunity to shine.
In the finale set by Zeus – God of Gods – your team will come together to find out just how much you know about your team mates, how well you’ve worked together and how well you know each other.
Garden Challenge
The Garden Challenge team building activity is simple - your team challenge is to co-ordinate a garden makeover.
Your team will be allocated a garden which will be an integral part of the local community that you choose. It may be a communal garden, a church garden, a nursing home garden or a school garden etc.
Equipped with your own gardening team pack your team must plan, design and deliver within the project parameters. The teams will need to allocate their time wisely, as they have a lot to accomplish in just one day. With budgets to be planned and gardens to be landscaped, there is an activity for everyone.
The great sense of team achievement accomplished through this activity is invaluable. Whilst focusing on the task at hand, your team will automatically feel a great sense of team unity – one goal and one vision. At the same time this corporate team building event allows your team to put something back into the community.
Treasure Hunts
Treasure Hunts are a very popular corporate team building activity because they are exciting, rewarding and fun. All our UK treasure hunts are tailored to your specific group of people and location that you choose so that your treasure hunt involves all the different types of people in your group. Your treasure hunt can be organised from almost any starting point – in a city, your office, a country pub…
A corporate treasure hunt is the ultimate energiser because your team will feel the wind in their hair as treasure hunts always involve the outdoors in some way, shape or form. A treasure hunt rewards your team and makes them feel special because they’re being invited to do something different.
Corporate Treasure Hunts Unite Your Team
Treasure hunts unite your team because participants share a variety of challenges together. The size of the teams is flexible according to the level of networking and communication that you want to achieve. The team success hinges on good planning skills, effective time management and reliable decision-making abilities.
Because your treasure hunt is designed for you it is relevant to your business and you can incorporate key messages, for example, new technology, new products or new processes.
Conference Energisers and Icebreakers
Conference energisers and icebreakers bring your meeting or conference alive by invigorating your guests. Our activities involve people and create interaction. Energisers and icebreakers normally last from 5 – 10 minutes up to an hour depending on what each one is designed to achieve.
What a Balls Up!!! Conference Icebreaker and Energiser
What a Balls Up is a fun icebreaker and energiser that lasts from 10 - 25 minutes normally at the start of the day or just after lunch (but works well anytime really).
This conference energiser involves hand to eye coordination without being strenuous and it suits guests seated indoors cabaret style or outside in the fresh air.
A lively facilitator organises your group into circles of small teams. Each small team stretches a net out between them in their circle. It looks a bit like a fireman’s net. Everyone in the room grasps their own handle on the net and together the team can stretch or relax the net. This produces an effect like a trampoline.
When a ball is placed in the middle of each net teams are directed to bounce the ball in the air by stretching their net in unison. With practice teams bounce the balls in time to a rhythm beaten out by the facilitator.
The energy and unity of your delegates can be directed towards a purpose that reflects your conference message. By incorporating your message into this simple activity you trigger people’s interest, you capture their attention and you make a lasting impression.
The result is that your entire audience feels a sense of togetherness and everyone is revitalised.
And so many more…
