Business Support Events 2008

A great deal of progress has been made in the East Midlands over the past year to simplify the business support offer and place Business Link as the primary gateway to publicly funded business support. To update you on this progress, inform you about the publicly funded business support offers in place and set out how we can work together to improve the performance of businesses in the region a series of events are being held in the East Midlands.

These events are aimed at:

• Public funders of business support;
• Intermediaries and deliverers of public or privately funded business support; and
• Business representative groups.

All sessions are information based and aim to provide:

• An update on the first year of the regional Business Link and their support offer
• Information on the regional intensive support offer for business
• An opportunity to input into the development of the Business Support Strategy
• An opportunity to network and meet local BL advisers

The events will be held from 11am until 1pm with a buffet lunch to follow. To make it as convenient as possible for you to attend there will be 5 events around the region in Nottingham, Northampton, Derby, Leicester and Lincoln. Venues and dates are as follows:

• Derby Pride Park Stadium - Thursday 13th March
• Nottingham East Midlands Conference Centre - Friday 14th March
• Lincoln Bishop Grosseteste College - Wednesday 19th March
• Northampton Marriott Hotel - Friday 28th March
• Leicester Walkers Stadium - Monday 31st March
